Abstract:
Penn State has made new strides in its continuing effort to
provide information that decision makers need when they need it and in a format
they can use. The latest accomplishments include a multifaceted approach which
provides both publicly available information and information available only to
those within the Penn State Network.
The static Penn State Fact Book was
first made available to the public in 2000 and the Enterprise Information
System (EIS) has been available to authorized Penn State people since the
mid-nineties. With recent enhancements, the two web-based systems compliment
each other making available a nice mix of easy to use tools and dynamically
updated information. Depending on the interest and needs of the person asking
the question, dynamic graphic representation or spreadsheet formats are readily
available. |
