  THON, Penn State’s Dance Marathon, is the largest student-run philanthropy in the nation. In February of 2003, Penn State students raised over $3.6 million for the Four Diamonds Fund at The Milton S. Hershey Medical Center, which benefits children with cancer. |
  Penn State’s most important product is its graduates. In 2001-02, 16,454 students received Penn State Degrees, including 2,171 associate, 11,327 baccalaureate, 2,128 masters, 541 doctorate, and 287 first professional degrees. |
