Penn State's most important product is its graduates. In 2000-2001,
16,313 students received Penn State degrees, including 2,197 associate, 11,337
baccalaureate, 1,970 masters, 541 doctorate, and 268 first professional
degrees.

THON, Penn State's Dance Marathon,
is the largest student-run philanthropy in the nation. Last year, Penn State
students raised over $3.6 million for the Four Diamonds Fund at The Milton S.
Hershey Center, which benefits children with cancer.

Each Summer approximately 50,000 people
attend Penn State's Ag Progress Days. Penn State, as the Commonwealth's land
grant university, has Cooperative Extension offices in all 67 counties and
serves over 2,000,000 people annually.
